Principal's Message
My name is John Cupples, and I would like to introduce myself as the principal of Paxinosa Elementary School. This school year, I will be entering my 22nd year in education; fourteen of those years were spent as a classroom teacher in fifth and sixth grades, and the last seven have been spent as an administrator in the Easton Area School District. During my time at EASD, I spent the first three years in the position of assistant principal at EAMS and then three years as the Head Principal for 7th and 8th grades. I live in the Lehigh Valley with my wife, Emily, and our two children, Connor, ten, and Hailey, fifteen. Our school is one of seven elementary schools in the Easton Area School District. We have approximately 600 students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. Paxinosa is a community school where we aim to help each student achieve everything he or she is capable of by engaging students in a personalized education. At Paxinosa, we welcome and appreciate the strong partnerships with our school families and community members. I believe in a philosophy that embraces a balanced approach to education, which allows students to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically with the necessary level of independence, guidance, and support. As we start the new school year, I'm looking forward to having discussions with the students, parents, teachers, and staff at Paxinosa about how we as a community can build on the outstanding accomplishments of Paxinosa Elementary School. Along with that, I'm looking forward to working with Paxinosa's outstanding faculty and staff, along with Mr. Oswald, Paxinosa’s assistant principal, to make sure that we continue to grow into one of the best communities and families for our students. At Paxinosa, we value and prioritize communication. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our principals, counselors, teachers, or staff. Together, we want to give our students the best possible educational experience. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you as we build a collaborative working relationship on behalf of our students. Thank you in advance for your support and commitment. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 610-250-2551 or cupplesj@eastonsd.org.
Respectfully, John Cupples |
