Students in 4th and 5th grade have the opportunity to learn a band instrument and grow in their musical abilities. Beginning to learn an instrument at this age sets students up for greater success in music in middle school, high school, and adulthood. The band instruments include the flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone horn, mallet percussion (bells), and percussion (drums). First-year students (beginners), begin studies in the fall and have a spring concert near the end of the year. Second-year students (advanced, 5th grade only), continue studies in the fall and have a winter concert in December and a spring concert. 

Officers from the Easton Police Department will be partnering with our students.
We are looking for students interested in spending time with the Officers.

Open to all students. (Pre-registration is required)

Our Paxinosa Chorus is open to students in grades 3, 4, and 5.  We start rehearsing in September and our first concert is in December. We meet one time per week to rehearse during the school day. Currently, we are over 120 singers strong!  If you would like more information, contact Mrs. Khan!  khans@eastonsd.org

The Community Bike Works "Earn a Bike" program connects nine-year-old and older students with mentors to learn bike mechanics and safety lessons. Students who complete the program will earn a refurbished bike and a new helmet!

The program runs from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.

Please Note: Parents or guardians must pick up their child after the program ends. No transportation is offered.

This is a fun and exciting program for students in grades K-5, allowing them to create unique art projects, experiment with different materials, and develop their creativity! Students experience a wide variety of art materials, including paint, clay, plaster, metal, ink, wire, etc. to create unique, one-of-a-kind works of
art while incorporating art history and cultural art projects.

Open to all students K-5.

Students in 4th and 5th grade have the opportunity to learn a stringed instrument to grow in their musical abilities. Beginning to learn an instrument at this age sets students up for greater success in music in middle school, high school, and adulthood. The orchestra instruments include the violin, viola, cello, and double bass. First-year students (beginners), begin studies in the fall and have a spring concert near the end of the year. Second-year students (advanced, 5th grade only), continue studies in the fall and have a winter concert in December and a spring concert. 

Students are invited to join a special after-school book group to read, discuss, and do special reading-related activities. This program is great for early readers to build and improve their reading skills. Open to any grade level, but K-2 has been the most successful.

This program is bilingual.

The Push Ahead program is designed to introduce concepts of exercise, problem-solving, perseverance, and creativity through the physical act of skateboarding. The participants are challenged to use their minds, bodies, and one another to acquire new skills and accomplish new goals. Skateboards and helmets will be provided.

Open to all students K-5. No skateboarding experience is necessary.
